What’s included with HVAC maintenance?

We follow a checklist to ensure that your entire HVAC system is working properly with each maintenance service we provide.

During your routine air conditioning service, we will:

• Thoroughly clean condenser coils in the spring
• Inspect connections for loose contacts
• Ensure that your thermostat is functioning properly
• Measure your refrigerant pressure to ensure it is running your system efficiently and recharge if necessary
• Lubricate motors and bearings for optimal performance
• Remove brush and debris from around your outside unit
• Clear the condensate drain if necessary

If you’re having your heating serviced, we will:

• Inspect the gas line
• Inspect safety controls
• Inspect the heat exchanger for cracks, corrosion, or rust

How often should you have your HVAC serviced?

Routine maintenance should occur twice a year for proper care. Each system requires maintenance annually. Your air conditioner should be serviced in the spring before you need it, and you should have your heater serviced in late summer or early fall.

We recommend getting these services in the spring and early fall to avoid a problem that could crop up later when you actually need to regularly use each system. It allows us to give you a heads up if we see something that may need repair sooner rather than later.
