About Webster, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

In 1669 French explorer LaSalle was exploring Lake Ontario and discovered the rich agricultural land that would become Webster, located in Monroe County, New York. On February 6, 1840, Governor William Seward announced the birth of Webster, naming it after respected statesman Daniel Webster.  Webster started out as a prosperous fruit growing community, would eventually have the world's largest basket factory, and be the center of the country’s canning industry. The local Grange, the largest in the world, was started in 1880. At the 2010 census the population was 42,641. This suburb of Rochester, New York is growing rapidly in part due to the moderate climate, a rich history that has been preserved, and plenty to do.

There is a Village of Webster  within the city of Webster. The Webster Museum, located in the heart of the village, is the perfect place to start your exploration of this rich town.  If you enjoy history and architecture, there are some fascinating historic structures to check out, and the Museum provides a complete list of them including 400 historical barns and carriage houses and a number of homes that are over a century old.  There are also many antique and gift/craft shops to browse through.

Nature lovers will enjoy the many walking trails throughout the town and Webster Park offers breathtaking views of Lake Ontario.  The Webster Arboretum , featuring rose and herb gardens, is the site of a number of festivals and concerts throughout the year.

In 2005 Sports Illustrated awarded Webster the title of "#1 Sports town in New York.” Webster has a long list of notable sports accomplishments in football, hockey, soccer, and lacrosse.  Some famous names in sports that began in Webster are Brian Bliss (former player for the USA men's national soccer team and former coach of the Kansas City Wizard), Pat Kelly (former professional American football player for the Denver Broncos), Brian Kozlowski (Professional American football player for the Washington Redskins.) and Kara Lynn Joyce (Swimmer for the US National Team and four-time Olympic silver medalist).  Other notable people from Webster are former space shuttle astronaut Edward Tsang Lu (who also lived on the NASA International Space Station), and Paul Buchheit – creator and lead developer of Gmail.

The Xerox Corporation and Trident Precision Manufacturing are based in Webster. In 1996, Trident Precision received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and is one of only 15 small businesses to win this prestigious award nationally since it began in 1988.
