About Spencerport, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Village of Spencerport is located along the Erie Canal in Monroe County, New York approximately ten miles west of the city of Rochester.  First settled as Spencer’s Basin by Daniel Spencer in 1804, the community later, with the opening of the Erie Canal, came to be known as Spencerport and received incorporation as a village on April 22, 1867.  Today, Spencerport is a busy recreational and tourism Canal city that is home to more than 3,500 residents and a proactive and friendly business community.  Located within the humid continental climate zone, the city enjoys seasonal weather that includes mild, comfortable summers and cold, snowy winters, making Spencerport a lovely place to live or visit during any season of the year!

Since the mid 1990s, Spencerport has been actively involved in the revitalization of their Village with the construction of the Clyde Carter Memorial Gazebo that features boater and docking amenities on the Canal, and the Trolley Museum and Visitor's Center that serves as a welcoming center for boaters, bikers, and hikers travelling through the Canal System.

Spencerport is served by the Town of Odgen Parks and Recreation Department that maintains and operates parks and recreational facilities throughout the area, including Pineway Ponds Park, which features athletic fields, splash pads, playgrounds, climbing walls, and a skateboard park, as well as four enclosed lodges and a pond that accommodates boating and fishing.  A hiking and biking trail runs alongside the Canal and connects to all canalside towns and villages in Rochester and Monroe Counties.

The Spencerport Depot and Canal Museum contains exhibits relative to the history of the Village and the Canal, and features a satellite location of the Ogden Farmers' Library and boating facilities for residents and visitors travelling the canal, as well.

The Village of Spencerport is a close-knit community of active and involved citizens who are proud of their heritage and believe in putting family and community first.  Their beliefs are what enable Spencerport to live up to its billing as “someplace special.”
