About Victor, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Town of Victor is located in Ontario County, New York approximately eighteen miles south of the city of Rochester.  During the early 17th century, Victor was the site of the Seneca Indian Tribe village of Gannagaro.  Following a conflict with French invaders in 1687, the tribe abandoned the village, leaving it largely uninhabited until early pioneer settlement began around 1789, leading to the eventual establishment of the town in 1812 and official incorporation in 1879.  Situated in the humid subtropical climate zone, the town experiences lovely warm summers, cold snowy winters, and moderate, wet weather during the springtime and fall that make the Town of Victor the perfect place to live or visit any time of the year!

The Town of Victor has a number of interesting sights of cultural and historical importance, including the Valentown Museum and Icabod Town Homestead that was originally constructed as a five-story shopping plaza and community center by Levi and Alanson Valentine in 1879.  The historic landmark building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a remarkable example of 19th century architecture that remains virtually unchanged from its original condition.  Victor pays tribute to its Native American ancestors through the Ganondagan historical site that marks the location of a once flourishing community of the Seneca Indians and features a full-size replica of a 17th-century Seneca Bark Longhouse, self-guided trails with historical markers, and a number of annual festivals and events that celebrate the heritage of the Seneca people.

Golfers will enjoy Victor’s outstanding selection of golfing facilities that include both public and private courses for golfers of all skill levels including the Victor Hills Golf Club and Parkview Fairways. For prestigious golfing at its finest, Cobblestone Creek County Club boasts a Scottish Links style championship course designed by course designers Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Craig Schreiner.  The Town of Victor Parks and Recreation Department maintains and operates several city parks, hiking trails, and facilities that feature a wide selection of quality recreational programs that are available to citizens of all ages throughout the area.  Fishers Park and Dryer Road Park feature extensive, multi-use trail systems for hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

With its happy mix of small town charm and urban style amenities, the Town of Victor is a remarkable community of excellent schools, outstanding recreational facilities, and first-class shopping, dining, and entertainment that is home to more than 14,000 friendly and engaging residents who punctuate the very heart and soul of the community!
