About Greece, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Town of Greece is located in Monroe County, New York and is a suburb and a part of the Greater Rochester Metropolitan Area.  Initially home to the Seneca Indians, the area now known as Greece was first visited in 1669 by French explorer Robert LaSalle.  Settled in 1792 as the Town of Northampton, the community eventually received incorporation as the Town of Greece on March 22, 1822.  Located five miles northwest of Rochester and sixty-four miles east of the city of Buffalo, the town enjoys convenient access to State Routes 390 and 104 and the Lake Ontario State Parkway.  Located within the humid subtropical climate zone, Greece experiences four vastly changing seasons that consist of mild, comfortable summers and cold, snowy winters with moderate, wet weather during spring and fall.  No matter what the weather or the season, the Town of Greece is a beautiful place to live or visit any time of the year!

Greece is an active community of energetic and involved citizens who enjoy the many recreational opportunities provided through the town parks facilities and programs.  The Town of Greece Parks Department maintains and operates 17 municipal parks that feature a wide variety of facilities and programs to fit the needs of citizens of all ages throughout the community.  The Community and Senior Center is a multi-generational facility that features a 4,500 sq. ft. multi-purpose room, full gymnasium, senior citizen's lounge, programmed fitness area, walking track, and designated rooms for art and dance.  Braddock Bay Park is located adjacent to the Braddock Bay Fish and Wildlife Management Area and features a boardwalk that traverses the marshes along the bay, a birding observation platform, canoe launch, picnic facilities, and children’s playground.  The adjacent Braddock Bay Fish and Wildlife Management Area features boating and canoeing, hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, photography stands, picnic facilities, a nature center, and full-service marina.

The Greece Performing Arts Society showcases the benevolent spirit of this community-focused town through its non-profit, all-volunteer community arts group that performs in nursing homes, schools, and senior centers while providing opportunities to people from all walks of society to develop their musical talents and use them to reach out to their community.

Today, this town of more than 96,000 residents is a coalescence of a large, diverse business community, friendly, concerned citizens, and a wide network of service and civic organizations that are united in their common goal of creating a vibrant and prosperous community that is family-focused, business friendly, and service-oriented!
