The Ronald McDonald House Charities® Board of Trustees added The Dwyer
Group, Inc. to the new Ray Kroc Heritage Society donor wall on Friday,
October 22, at McDonald’s worldwide headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill.
Business organizations must donate a minimum $100,000 to be recognized
and featured on the Ray Kroc Heritage Society donor wall.
“It’s an incredible privilege to be part of the Ronald McDonald
House Charities family,” said Dina Dwyer-Owens, chairwoman and CEO
of The Dwyer Group. “We are fortunate that our brands can help support
an organization that strengthens more than four million families a year.”
The Dwyer Group represented five franchise businesses, Aire Serv®,
Glass Doctor®, Mr. Appliance®, Mr. Electric® and Mr. Rooter®,
which support Ronald McDonald House Charities in both the United States
and Canada. These franchisees volunteer their services to Ronald McDonald
Houses across North America. It’s a perfect partnership because
collectively The Dwyer Group brands offer services that every home needs,
including appliance repair and maintenance, plumbing, heating and air
conditioning, electrical services and glass installation/replacement.
Ronald McDonald House Charities was established in 1984 in memory of McDonald's
founder and franchise icon Ray Kroc. The cornerstone program, the Ronald
McDonald House®, provides a “home-away-from-home” so families
can stay close by while their child gets the health care they need. The
Houses are located around the world and are funded by both corporate donor
and individual support.
